Project title: “Strengthening the Economic Capacities of Women of Different Nationalities in Ozurgeti – Let’s Turn Housework into a Profession” financed by the EU was implemented by the assistance of Women`s Fund in Georgia (January-August 2022).
Project aim: to Examinate the economic development needs of women of different nationalities living in Ozurgeti municipality (eco-migrants from the mountainous region of Adjara, repatriated Muslim Meskhian women, women from the Armenian community and the Georgian-Polish diaspora), foster their economic empowerment and civic integration.
Results: a memorandum of cooperation was signed with Ozurgeti Municipality; Prepared research, news articles and video stories on women’s economic needs; the trainings were conducted with the participation of the beneficiaries, an electronic database of women involved in various forms of economic activity and a closed Facebook group were created, where information is updating and exchanging.
