“Civic Picnic” was held this time on June 29, at the Ekvtime Takaishvili Archaeological Museum-Reserve of the Guria region, under the mentorship of public administration expert Nana Tavdumadze
The invited expert introduced the public services of the Ozurgeti Municipality, citizens` engagement tools and communication mechanisms with the local self-government to the participants of the “Civic Picnic”
The meeting was attended by the chairman of the Ozurgeti Gender Equality Council Nino Chanishvili and members of the Council, National Democratic Institute (NDI) local self-government program coordinator Ruslan Tsukulidze and program assistant Ana Nikabadze, members of the initiative group of the project and entrepreneurial women, who shared their experience of managing small family farms.
At the end, a culinary masterclass of entrepreneur Lela Basilia was held for the organizers and guests of the meeting.
The “Civic Picnic” was held in the frames work of the project „Let’s turn housework into a profession – activism for the economic empowerment of women living in Ozurgeti municipality”, which is implemented by CPC – the participation and engagement center, with the support of the European Union and the Women's Fund in Georgia.
